ELIGIBILITY
Applicable to vehicles of any age and any mileage at the date of inception.
BENEFITS
WHAT PARTS ARE COVERED?
If during the period of insurance your vehicle suffers a mechanical breakdown
within the territorial limits of the policy, we will cover the cost all of the
parts listed and the associated labour, up to the claim limit specified on the
proposal form, but subject to any lower limits applicable to a particular part.
This insurance covers the vehicle against the breakdown of mechanical and
electrical components listed under the following headings. Any item not
specifically mentioned is not covered.
The following casings are only covered if their failure is a direct result of
a failure of a covered component and will constitute part of the total claim
subject to the policy limits: Cylinder block, cylinder head, gearbox casing,
axle housing.
CATALYTIC CONVERTER
The cost of replacement of the insured vehicle's catalytic converter(s)
following failure of the exhaust gas to meet the relevant in-service emissions
standard subject to the following:
The catalytic converter being found to be no longer serviceable.
The results of the failed test being made accessible to the claims
department before authorisation is requested.
The results printed out from a successful test following the
replacement are submitted to the claims department with the repair
invoice.
CLUTCH
Centre plate, pressure plate, release bearing master and save cylinders.
(Excluding burnt out parts and wear and tear).
ENGINE
The rocker assembly, including hydraulic followers, inlet and exhaust valves
(except carbonised, burnt, pitted and sticking valves), springs and guides,
cylinder head gasket, push rods, camshaft and followers, timing gears and chains
(excluding tensioner), oil pump, pistons and rings, con-rods, gudgeon pins and
bearings, crankshaft and bearings, inlet manifold, flywheel and ring gear.
MANUAL GEARBOX
All internal components contained within the transmission casing.
DRIVE AXLE
Internal crown wheel and pinion, gears, shafts, bearings and bushes, thrust
washers and spacers, drive shafts, propshaft, half shafts, including constant
velocity joints, hubs, universal joints and couplings. Excluding gaiters.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Starter motor, starter solenoid, alternator, coil, window and sun roof motors,
electric window switches, sunroof switch, central locking motor and pump,
heater fan motor, indicator flasher relay, distributor, front and rear windscreen
wiper motors, electrical fuel pump, windscreen washer motors, electronic ignition
amplifier, thermostatically-controlled radiator fan motor, horn, multi-function
stalk switch and tank sender unit.
ENGINE COOLING SYSTEM
Water pump, viscous fan coupling, thermostat and thermostat housing,
expansion tank, heatermatrix, oil cooler, and radiator are covered for breakdown.
Excluding frost damage.
ENGINE MANAGEMENT (ECU)
Engine electronic control unit.
FRONT AND REAR SUSPENSION
Hydro pneumatic spheres, coil springs, upper and lower wishbones and ball and
swivel joints.Excluding bushes.
FUEL SYSTEM
Throttle body, airflow meter, idle control valve, cold start valve, warm-up
regulator, overrun cutoff valve, throttle potentiometer, fuel accumulator,
pressure regulator, map sensor, carburettor, automatic choke, lift pump,
mechanical fuel pump. Excluding breakdown as a result of contamination or failure
to meet current emission legislation
STEERING (INCL. POWER ASSISTED STEERING)
Steering rack and pinion, steering box, pump and idler box. Excluding power
steering belts, external links and joints, rubber boots, swivel pins and oil leaks.
TIMING BELT
If the timing belt has been changed in accordance with the time or mileage requirements specified by the manufacturer (receipt required) it will be covered against mechanical breakdown
WHEEL BEARINGS
Front and rear wheel bearings
WORKING MATERIALS
Should any authorised repair to any of the above components require essential
replacement or topping up of lubricants, oils or coolant or replacement of the
oil filter these shall be covered as part of the total claim, within the
policy limits.
NOTE
Those components covered are covered against mechanical or electrical failure
due to sudden and unexpected circumstances. The replacement of oil filters,
lubricants, antifreeze and fluids is included provided the replacement is
necessitated by the failure of a warranted component.
External oil leaks are specifically excluded. Please note: Where the failure has been confirmed on a
diagnostic machine, a computer print-out detailing the fault codes must be
submitted as supporting evidence, along with the claims invoice. Please note: The maximum payment for diagnostics is £65.00
inclusive of VAT.
BETTERMENT
In the event of a claim the Insurer reserves the right to call for a
contribution from the Insured for Betterment should the repaired vehicle
ultimately be in a better condition or have a better value than it enjoyed
immediately prior to the occurrence of the claim.
The following matrix will apply where Betterment is applied. The % stated
reflects the reduction to be applied to parts and labour (Inc. VAT).
All mileages are from date first registered.
7 years or 70,000-80,000 miles 10%
8 years or 80,000-90,000 miles 15%
9 years or 90,001-100,000 miles 20%
10 years or 100,001-110,000 miles 25%
10 years + or 110,001-120,000 miles 30%
10 years + or 120,001-130,000 miles 40%
10 years + or 130,001-140,000 miles 50%
10 years + or 140,001-150,000 miles 60%
10 years + or Over 150,001 miles 70%
EXTRA BENEFITS
The extra benefits listed below will be made available subject to the limits
specified on the proposal form, provided the parts in need of repair are covered
under the warranty plan.
VEHICLE RECOVERY
In the event of an emergency breakdown due to the failure of one of the
components covered within this warranty, the policyholder is entitled to
recovery to the nearest authorised repairing dealer. The maximum contribution
per recovery will be limited to £65 including VAT. The method of recovery must
prevent any further damage to the vehicle. IMPORTANT: Recovery costs will constitute part of the total
claim cost and will be limited to the claim limit as stated on the Proposal Form.
A VAT receipt will be required.
CONTINENTAL USE
The breakdown repair cost element of this warranty is extended to cover the
vehicle whilst travelling within the EU for a period of 60 days during each year.
The Owner may authorise repair work and claim reimbursement in accordance with
the terms of the warranty subject to a receipted invoice, service history and
completed claim form being forwarded to the Claims Department. Reimbursement
will be at the exchange rate current at the time of the repair.
TRANSFER REQUEST
Subject to our approval, this policy may only be transferred with the vehicle
direct to a new private owner. Application must be made to the administrator at
the time of the change of ownership. The administrator will charge £35 for this
service. Please refer to the Transfer of Ownership section for further details.
Under no circumstances can this policy be transferred to another vehicle or
to/via any member of the motor trade. If the insurance is transferred to a new
owner the policy will not be subject to the statutory cancellation period.

INSURER
The insurer is UK GENERAL UNDERWRITING LIMITED on behalf of FORTIS INSURANCE
LTD, REGISTERED NUMBER 78950; a private company limited by shares and
incorporated in England, whose head office are 5 OLD BROAD STREET, LONDON,
EC2N 1AD. The insurer is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services
Authority.
CANCELLATION
You may cancel this cover within 14 days of receiving your policy book and
schedule with a full refund by writing to the administrator at the address above,
if you cancel after such a period no refund will be due.
MAKING A CLAIM
If you consider that you have a claim do not proceed with repairs until the
claim is authorised by the administrator. Your repairer must telephone the
administrator on 01276 804 586 and obtain a claim authority number prior to
any work being carried out, we reserve the right to subject the vehicle to
independent assessment.
COMPLAINTS
If you have any enquiry or complaint about your policy, you should in the
first instance contact Autoguard, your supplying dealer or WarrantyWorks.
If you are not satisfied in any way about the way your complaint has been dealt
with you may write to the Head of Claims, UK General Underwriting Ltd

gained from the Financial Ombudsman service at South Quay Plaza, 183 Marsh Wall,
London E14 9SR. Telephone 0845 080 1800. NONE OF THE ABOVE AFFECTS YOUR
STATUTORY RIGHTS.
LAW APPLICABLE
Unless specifically agreed to prior to inception. This policy shall be
subject to English Law, the EEA state for the purposes of this policy is the
United Kingdom.
COMPENSATION
You may be entitled to compensation under the Financial Services Compensation
Scheme in the event that we are unable to meet our liabilities in full.
LANGUAGE
This policy is written in English and all communication entered into shall be
in English.
DEMANDS AND NEEDS
The customer named on the registration form has purchased a vehicle and
believes this warranty would be beneficial to them. The customer has been
advised of the details of cover on he summary of cover including the main
benefits, main exclusions and limitations of the cover, and is not aware of any
other insurance policy that they currently have that makes the cover unsuitable.
The customer is aware of their obligation to provide all material information
and has made a reasoned decision on the basis of the information provided in
the summary of cover, and also has a period of 14 days after the receipt of
policy documentation to cancel the contract if they wish to re-consider their
decision.
STATUS DISCLOSURE
Warranty Works, can only offer a product from a single provider,
UK Underwriting Limited On Behalf Of Fortis Insurance Limited. We act as an
appointer representative of Autoguard Warranties Limited in respect of the sale
of this product. Autoguard Warranties is authorised and regulated by the

if Autoguard Warranties Ltd cannot meet their obligations.
